Tripod for C300 II: Miller Arrow x3?

Hi all,

After having waited for almost a year for the Blackmagic Ursa Mini 4.6k, and after having returned it straight away when I found out that the sensor had the infamous magenta issue, I finally ordered a C300II after the price drop. Couldn't be happier: it's a very versatile camera: both for events and narrative. Anyway: my Vinten Vision 3AS tripo doesn't suffice anymore, especially when I start rigging teh C300 out with some accessories and - in a later stage, but soon enough a VCT baseplate (Vocas probably), a mattebox and a follow focus and, who knows, some V-mount batteries to have better balancing off the shoulder.

At IBC I saw the Miller Arrow x3 and I was impressed. Of course it's a lot of money, but it seems I wouldn't need to buy a fluid head again in the coming 10 years. I also need a pair of sticks and a tripod dolly (with air filled tires [so handy on events!]). So...my questions are:

- What other fluid heads would you consider?
- Which legs would you take? I'm open to not get Miller legs. I guess I'd go for a traditional two-stage tripod though, no 'solo', also because I want to use it with a (tripod) dolly
- Which tripod dolly would you get?

Get the Sachtler and never look back, hjrt.

I've owned and rented Sachtler and Miller, my current setup is a Sachtler head that is mounted on Miller legs. I agree with the others, the FSB10 looks to be the hot tip for the C300 MKII, 26lb capacity for very low money for a Sachtler. Unless you think you'll be over 26lbs?
