Tripod Dollys- good, bad, cheap?

What's the difference between expensively priced dollys and the cheap ones you see going for sale on eBay?

I am looking to set a Bogen tripod up on one and looking for justification between the price extremes. My camera set up is far from heavy- standard DVX.

Thanks.

I would imagine the pricery ones are heavier, sturdier and more quiet. If you get one, think about running it along a carpet runner instead of a hard floor. Just a thought.

I have the Bogen one. It works more or less OK as long as the floor is absolutely flat and flush, and even then, it's not always easy so steer in a perfectly straight line. It's OK where the wheelchair is too large to go, and the Skater too small or too low.
