Trimmer Question

Often when trimming, I cannot add a marked clip to the timeline when "Add Media From Curser" or "A" is pressed. I have the right track selected and the postion of the edit tool on the timeline is correct. Should I be clicking somewhere first? or is this a bug. Not sure what I am doing wrong, and if I try to drag to the timeline, the markers get messed up. I am using Vegas 5b (build 160).

First, to Add a selection from the Trimmer, the trimmer must be active.
My work around for when I've got to jump back and forth a lot is to use Regions rather than markers.

If you set In/Out points in the Trimmer and stay there, just press A to add.
If you jump back out of the Trimmer for some reason, then use regions instead of I/O.
You can use a series of keystrokes to reactivate the trimmer, but I find regions to be more useful.
