Triggering traps

I need to set off twenty, double coil spring traps in sequence.

Any ideas how to do it without being seen.

I could shoot the pan with a pellet gun but I suspect that will show.

Maybe monofiliment line attached to the pans underneath.
:dankk2:

Okay, I need more info.

There is so much you are not saying here. We went from 20 traps to pellet guns to pans underneath. WTF are you really doing? Flash-bangs? Contact Traps? Thermonuclear Conflict? Global Conquer?

PM me if you are really concerned for "secrecy". And I am pretty good at "Global Conflict".........ever hear of the "Kamchatkan Death Circle"? Yeah, well, that was me. Damn Russian food. Gas kills, don't let anyone try to convince you otherwise.

So, based on what I have seen, you are asking me to rig a trap to shoot an intruder with a pellet gun and then light him on fire with a trip wire based trigger. NOT GONNA HAPPEN (LOL, though I know how..... Believe me, life will be very "challenging/painful" to someone who decides to steal from me. In a way, I kinda wish it would happen. Major publicity....."Intruder experiences..... while burglarizing Film Armorer")

Help correct me. (triggers wires, pans, pellet guns). See.....more info needed.

Different kind of trap. Number 1.5 double coil spring steel traps.

I'm doing a documentary on Coyotes in Va.

The pan is the thingy in the middle that they step on to trigger the traps. A normal set is buried under a quarter inch of sifted dirt.

Setting more than one is called a Judas set, where one is left with a small amount exposed and the Coyote digs it up, but steps in one of the other.

Setting a lot of them for a trap smart animal is called a gang set.

No secrecy needed. Trappers have been doing it since before I was a kid.

Couldn't you use solenoids wired to a nail board?

Or is that too legal?

That's not a bad idea Gord!
Instead of solenoids, vacuum plungers. Simple to rig and 100% controllable.
Thanks!

In case your wondering why not just set them and put a camera out to video a yote being caught....The simple answer is, I'm getting soft hearted in my old age.
I did set a trail snare for one but put a stop block on it so It wouldn't lock tight on his neck. He was able to pull out and I just stopped the clip before I got to that.
