Tri Pod question

I dunno if this is the right place for this but whatever. I have a VX2000 and I'm looking for a new tripod. I do alot of action sports shooting (skiing, biking etc.) so I want something that is sturdy and rugged. $400 is my limit. I'm wanting to get the bogen 501 head, but I have no idea which legs would work best for me. Any suggestions?

I have the 501 head and the 755b legs. They have that adjustable bowl and the legs spread all over the place. I film on mountain sides and crazy terrain often so the bowl is quick and no spreader gives me versatility.

i have the Bogen / Manfrotto 475B Professional Tripod Legs (Black) with Geared Column & 501 Pro Video Head - Supports 13.3 lbs (6.03 kg) and love it

I was looking at the 755b legs also. I guess it just comes down to personal choice now.

If you like to keep your camera level then tripod legs with the leveling bowl is great and quick when on almost level ground or very unlevel ground. The single bubble leveling gauge has me hooked on the bowl system.
