K-Tek Small Shock Mount - Sanken CS1
I am looking at purchasing this mic mount from Trew Audio.
Two questions
1 Has anyone used one with the Sanken CS1 and the DVX100?
2 Has anyone had any dealings with Trew Audio, or can suggest another supplier. I need it sent to Australia.

this is one of the best places to deal with ,check also coffey sound
thats work very good on the boom so it have to be good enouth as a camera holder

I use one with an Oktava Mk012... same diameter... little bit shorter... heavier. Works GREAT. Specify SOFT rubber.

I also use it with an Mkh416(!)... same diameter... much longer... and much heavier. Works GREAT. STILL soft rubber.

The guys at Trew are some of the best. I've bought a lot of stuff from them and I'm ALWAYS very happy.

Glenn Trew (the owner) still works as a location sound man... he KNOWS virtually everything about this stuff. If you have a question a lot of times you'll actually speak with HIM... or he may even CALL YOU about something.

B&H is easily the biggest seller of the gear we all want... but Trew stocks the creme of the crop... no low-end stuff... and they have YEARS of experience actually using it... and the really great thing is that they're just as cheap as B&H on nearly everything!

BTW John Coffey of Coffey Sound... is also an experienced professional who owns a location sound store. I could repeat everything above and replace all the compliments for Glenn Trew and make them for Coffey... same deal. Good prices and unbelievable service by people who actually USE this stuff just like we do!

If you are in Australia, there are some local dealers there. If you have no luck, any of the dealers here in the U.S. should be able to help you out. I have been dealing with lots of customers in Australia lately, and would be willing to work with you. Shipping is almost always close to $100 for shipping, no matter what, so that needs to be considered, as well as duties.

The short K-TEK mount is the only mount that works well with the CS-1, and I second the soft rubber recommendation. It's a great mount. We have that exact setup in our rental department, and it's always out.
