Travel-friendly bang for buck LED lighting kit for interviews and docs???

I think (out on a limb mode on) it´s something I also see (even in flo lights), that there is something in
"natural" light - sunlight, fire, tungsten - that is missing in "unnatural" light, like LED and florescent.
I can´t put my finger on it, but it´s there and it´s more than just CRI and spectrum.

Totally agree. I have stopped using Kinos God knows how long ago as my main key when going for "natural" look. LEDs look even less natural. That said both Kinos and LEDs are fantastic for certain applications - just not to key your subject.

Cheap portable tungstun lights that put out a lot of poop are the Lowel 250Watt Pro lights. The chimera holder is small and cheap and you can buy lower priced chimera knockoffs from Westcott that are just as good. Then you have something that can be used hard or soft. OK as backlights with blue on them. You could mix a few of those with a Diva knock off from Flo lights. None are the most well made lights but the support from lowell is incredible ( send them in they rebuild them for free) and Flo light is also good service I've been told.

Does anyone know where I can buy a softbox for a 600LED or 900LED pannel? Chimera's has their new LED softboxes, but they're damn expensive!
