Transport Gear?

I just purchased a 6 x 12 covered cargo trailer with a ramped door, and side access door to haul around my ever growing video equipment.

I can't find a single post on this forum relating to equipment transportation. I'm curious as to how you (video professional) get your gear around?

thanks.

yeah, i just got one of those too, to tow the trailer. The only thing i'll carry in the SUV is the camera, monitor and tripod. I'm making a custom cargo liner for the inside of my Jeep Commander.

I have been using my Suburban for my grip truck. I don't recommend using your daily drive for this. Scratched doors, torn upholstery, never having room for more than one other person in your car.
Our office just bought a 15ft , 2006 Chevy 3500 cargo truck. We will add shelves next week. It will be nice to have room in my personal car again.

I worked on a shoot where the director/dp/producer was using his Toyota Tundra. It was really efficient and could hold a lot of the rental equipment he rented from los angeles. If I was to buy a new vehicle for equipment it would def. be the tundra.
