Translation services for a documentary.

I have around 30 hours of Korean footage that I will need transcribed for a documentary. I have never needed this before so I don't really know where to start, can anyone help lead me down the right path.

Thanks,

John

Not sure what kind of budget you're working with as it might be cost prohibitive for that much footage, but I've used Captions Inc for subtitles on final edits of movies. The finished product will be professional grade, but you're not going to be paying "intern wages" for it. If it's just for the sake of finding what shots are going to be used in the edit, you might be able to get by with a rougher transcript than what you'd get from a professional subtitle house.
I'm guessing if you have that much footage in Korean that you have or currently are working with some Koreans on the project? You might want to start there for getting transcripts if you're on a tighter budget.

I work for a large school district- we have translators in our district. That might be a nice place to start as far as making connections. If you have Koreans in your area, they go to school somewhere, and translation services are needed so that district personnel can communicate with mom/dad/grandparents.
