Transitions suggestions needed!!

I am trying to edit some talk show interviews that have alot of cuts to be made. Any suggestions on what kind of transitions look good for cuts? This project will be sold on DVD and I want them to look nice.. Any suggestions are welcome, thanks.
 
Yes, I have to second THX's comment. For an interview, straight cuts. Any sort of "transition" during an interview will disrupt the flow. The sort of transitions you're talking about convey some sort of "time has elapsed between these scenes" sort of effect on your audience. The exception being if you're doing visual effects.
