Transition won't work across sequences....

So I pull several sequences into a final sequence timeline. When I go to add a dip to white transition between two sequences, it will only ad the transition to the start of the incoming sequence video and not the outgoing. I know the last shot of the outgoing sequence has extra frames to allow this. I tried extending the outgoing sequences out point handle inside that sequence but still no luck. Any ideas how to make this happen? Thanks.

take a white solid layer and keyframe its opacity from zero to 100 and back to zero again.

You need handles on both sequences to place a transition between them.

I understand the workaround, and the incoming clip has enough frames too. So is this a known issue, or is it doable and I'm just missing something?

I'm still inclined to say Operator Error. It normally works just fine.

OK, probably is then. I'll dive a little deeper into it and report back a solution or reason if I find one.
