Transition seen in most reality tv shows! how to?

I remember seeing a post about this befoe but cant seem to find it on here.

Id like to find out how this basic transition is made.

This one is sceen in 90% of reality tv shows, the transition blurs out and stretches/disolves into another shot. I hope i explained it right.

a sample would help but premiere pro has some fast blur in / fast blur out presets under effects/presets. you can also do this manually with either fast blur or directional blur filters and keyframes. I could probably help more if you could show me an example though.

now that i want to find a example i cant lol..

shows like biggest looser or who wants to marry a nerd or whatever..lol.. that type of transisiotn is everywhere, A&E shows use it, la ink, maiami ink etc etc

too bad i dont watch any of those (is it bad if a guy who produces videos doesnt watch much tv? )

its not, its actually good because if u dont watch the **** on tv u are able to come up with your own ideas and not be influenced by the standard.
