do you guys put transition in before sending to after effect or after send back from after effect...

here is my problems, when I send to ae with transition is hard to do cc from scene to scene..but if I do after send it back from ae as animation file fcp won't let me put transition in..let me know if there is a better way of doing this
 
you are not able to put a transition on the video after it was in AE because you didn't render any handles on the video...
 
ok....... I'm kinna new to ae so how can I render with handles... try to look it but I can't find it
 
"handles" means additional footage beyond your in/out points... so if your timeline is 7 seconds long, you need to make the composition 8 seconds to enable a 1 second transition on either side.

that's what I did but fcp is not giving me the transition i want.... I try to put a cross dissolve transition but fcp keep giving me bracket between the two clips...

ok let me explain the best i can son some can help


everything I try to use ANIMATION FILE from AE, fcp only allow me to put transition on BEFORE and AFTER each clip..... But not BETWEEN the two clips

No... I understand.

You need to TRIM up the clips in FCP. You cannot have the last frame of the clip in the timeline be the last frame of the clip -- or the beginning/first
