Transformers

This is some of the best CG I've seen. Global Illumination and Radiosity renderings have been out in films for quite sometime now but I think this project lends itself so well to CG. I enjoyed the 1080p trailer at the Yahoo site. Looking forward to this.

As cool as the trailer looks....the movie will probably ruin the great original cartoon series that some of us grew up on.

Personally, I am tired of the hollywood remake......c'mon...how about a frinkin original idea. Its sad when someone could be lurking on this board with a great movie idea, but effects driven michael bay films get 75mil or whatever the cost is

well i watched Transformers: The Movie (1986) yesterday... and they have no where to go but up lol. I psyched for the new one, but more for the spectacle of it and not so much as a good movie. I will enjoy this movie to no end... but that doesn't mean it'll be a good movie (in a traditional sense).

The Full length Transformers Trailer is out.

Now i admit i've been a dire hard Micheal Bay fan since The Rock. But good lord, this trailer is giving me goosebumps! This just may be the most kickass ride since Armageddon! Especially if Peter Stromare ends up in there somewhere. Im locked, cocked, and ready to rock! So bring on the Giant Fu**n Robots!!

Find it at Yahoomovies.com or from Michaelbay.com

anybody think it will do some major box office numbers?

a) like Spidey (part 1) on opening weekend?

b) or like 300 on opening weekend?

c) or somewhere more like mediocore to a complete flop?

it'll do big numbers, there are too many guys who grew up playing with the toys and watching the cartoons for there not to be.

I find Bay very hit/miss personally. I think Bad Boys kicked ass, I think Bad Boys II sucked it. The Rock was terrific, Pearl Harbour and Armageddon were too bloated to consider anything special. The Island could have been great if 1) he'd made half as many quick cuts as he did, and 2) he hadn't revealed the the film's big twist in the frigging trailer!

But having seen the full trailer now - I'm pumped for it. Almost as good as the 300 trailer as far as the makes-me-want-to-see-it stakes go.

I'm gonna pretend you didn't say that. That movie is pure gold! And it was Orson Wells last performance to boot.
