Transformers 3 extra may die...

Normal or not, it's still bullshi* money to use your own car.
Well it depends on what it is. Obviously extras are not supposed to be driving during stunt scenes, but for normal filling the city streets and highway scenes $35 is a decent bonus to the $139/day that the SAG Background Extras are getting.

I can't tell from any of the articles what the scene was. That Huffington Post articles makes it sound like it was freak accident during a non-stunt driving scene, but it's hard to tell.

There is another video aside from the one obtained by Radar online? Why am I the only one that can't find it? Not that I want to see someone get hurt, but I think seeing a video would end the debate of wether her car was the towed vehicle or not.

According to the studio she wasn't actually involved in the stunt, just an extra and the stunt went wrong. So this was something totally unexpected.

Saw a news report and they said she was on one side of the medium with the extras driving along, while on the other side there were stunts with flying cars. A cable broke on one of the stunt vehicles sending it flying onto the other side of the medium and it sliced into her car.

Terrible news, hope she's okay.

Yes it is.

I just saw the Vic Morrow footage. Really a terrible accident. John Landis Directed that episode. He directed "Thriller".

Was this accident before "Thiller" or after "Thriller" I wonder?

BTW, Vic Morrow was Jennifer Jason Leigh's father or so I read.

ALl true. I was a kid when Vic Morrow was killed. That happened before Thriller. I believe that was 1982 or somewhere around there. That footage was unreal. Have not seen it in years. But it left an impression on me.

Yeah man. It makes me think of how I can make my productions a bit safer. I never put my people in harms way, but I have put myself in harms way for the sake of a shot. Seeing that footage reminds me that it is definitely not worth it.

Thing is I don't think anyone was put in harms way, but the unexpected happened. If not for the snapping cable I'm assuming everything would've went fine. I have a whole thing about freak accidents that I won't go into, but this seems to be a total freak accident.
