Transferring subclips?

Hey guys! I have a couple of organized subclips in a Media bin on one project. I want to create another project but all the subclips and everything is gone. When I go back to th original project they are there.

How should I transfer all my subclips in the media bin?

Also, Is there any way to save all my subclips on the hard drive so I can delete the original .avi files?

I am not in front of my editing system and I use ver 7.0 but I believe there is a check box in the Preferences menu that allows you to select "save subclips with project."

Also note that when you create a subclip it is linked to the the original source clip. It is NOT new source material. If you delete the orginal clip the subclip goes as well.

You can copy material from one project to another new project by importing the old project through the file menu. If you selected the option to save sub clips with project they should come in as well.
