Transferring Large Files between Mac & PC

So I am going to need to transfer some large video files from a Mac to a PC. As I understand it, OSX doesn't write NTFS and XP doesn't read what ever the Mac natively formats (sorry, not a Mac person). They both will read and write Fat32 but then there is a 2 gig limit imposed on file size.

What is the solution here? I don't really want to burn DVDs because there is going to be in the neighborhood of about 100 gigs I need to transfer.

iPod works great as a portable drive - both Mac and PC will recognize it as an external drive just like a USB thumb drive works. I've used it to move files around.

Network will not work because the computers are not remotely close to each other. And I don't have access to network the Mac to anything anyway.

I'll see if I can get my hands on a large flash drive. They are still Fat32 though right? Won't I still have that 2gig limit problem?

Yup. Man I need to do more research. Fat32 is a 4 gig limit and this should be enough for me to use on an external drive.

Still a pain.

Thanks guys.

i did it before with my firestore fs100 and it worked well, it was video and i had to break it in pieces exporting from FPC to fit the 4 gig limit and opened at AVID on the PC. but i think any USB or Firewire external drive formated to FAT 32 will do.
good luck
