transferring footage from mac to pc

Hi all,

I am a still photographer who is making a transition into some amount of video work to add to the services I can offer clientele. I recently ran into the following scenario:

I shot some footage for a local University. They wanted me to transfer the footage from my external fw drive, which is formatted as mac OS journaled, to their external drive, which is formatted as pc NTFS. I found that the my mac drive could only read, and not write to, the NTFS formatted drive.
I will probably run into this situation again and would like to have a viable solution at the ready.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

The easiest way I found to deal with that situation is by using a program called macdrive. Install it on a pc and it can read and write mac formatted drives. Use a pc to read from your mac hard drive and copy on to the ntfs drive. I've tried several programs to get my mac to read and write to ntfs but they seemed to be unstable. I've not had a problem with macdrive yet... I hope that helps.
