transferring dvd footage to my external

im on a mac, and i poped in my dvd in my imac, and i wanna transfer the fotoage ot my external, cuz i lost my footage, but whe ni pop it in, i get the dvd on my desktop, and when i double click it, i get two folders, a video and an audio, and when i go in them, there a bunch of .bup. ,vob and all these files ive never heard, hwo do i get the video file?

Mpeg Streamclip will convert your .vob files into .movs etc. its free and can really come in handy!

Dude, it's what you've got to deal with. The .vob files are Video Object files -- that's where the video is. True, some of them are just menus, etc., so you don't need all of them, but they are what you have to work with if you want the video on your hard drive.
