new user to vegas. i captured on my desktop, transfered to my laptop and in middle of cutting video. now i need space on my laptop for other software. so i got an external drive and transferred all my files to it. now before i delete files on laptop what do i need to do to make sure i can finish cutting off my external drive?

Try moving the files on your laptop to a different folder.
Now go to your external drive and open the .veg file that is on there (you moved the captured video and the .veg files, right?)
If the captured files are in the same directory on the external drive, I think it will just use them, otherwise it will complain that it can't find 'filexxx' (because you moved them) and it will display options on what you want to do (search for replacement file, ignore, etc.)
