Transfering back to Tape after Edit, for master tape?

I'm not sure if this is the right area to be posting in but I'm pretty sure it counts as being post production.

I'm just wondering.. Is it possible to send back fully edited videos back to a Mini DV tape to send to film festivals and what not?

I know a lot of festivals don't accept anything but physical media (ie. they don't like DVDs/Pen drives etc but prefer Tape, Film etc..)
 
You can lay it back analog or via firewire... it's a clone via firewire.
I know of no festivals that accept miniDV tapes, though.
They will give you a list of formats accepted. Digital betacam is still their preferred, depending on the festival. I still lay off to betaSP and many of em will take a DVD.
 
I wouldnt say for most but for many. All of them you wish to submit to will provide you will acceptable formats.
