Transfer Rate

A bit OT, but maybe not.
Anybody ftp files to TV newsrooms?
Recording MXF files with Panasonic HPX 170.
First off rendered raw footage to mp4 and ftpED using Filzilla.
Fifteen minutes of footage, two hours and 45 minutes of transfer time at about 60 kb/s.
Painfully slow.
So just out of curiosity, sent the original uncompressed MXF files.
They are zooming to the host site a clip at a time.
Slower transfer rate but faster transfer, which doesn't make any sense to me.
So my question, and I'm not a tech, is, --- is it best to send MFX, best in every way when sending by ftp?

There are many factors that limit upload speed, you can determine if your connection is one of those problems by taking a speed test while nothing else is using the internet connection:

If you're uploading slower than your maximum upload speed tested, you can try to send multiple files at once. Some FTP sites will try to limit your traffic.

60K/s sounds like an average cable modem line in Canada. Sorry, you guys get screwed with the bandwith you actually get.

Right there dem.
Oops, gotta go, a polar bear is attacking one of my sled dogs.
See ya later!
