I received two miniDV tapes that were shot in HDV, and both contain broken timecode in several places. This will be an issue for me later, and so I am trying to dub the tapes onto new MiniDV tapes in their native format. I have a HVR-M15AU and a Canon XH-A1 at my disposal. I captured the tape on FCP 7 and then dropped all of the clips into the timeline to "print to video" back to the VTR or to the Canon camera, but neither seem to be recording the footage in the HDV format. Has anyone successfully done this?
