I've received a color graded export of my film in Avid's DNxHD codec (the grade was done in Premiere). When I bring it into Final Cut Pro 7, and lay a text title over the image, that section becomes brighter. (Credits were not done at the time of the grade). So I transcoded to Pro Res 4:2:2 HQ and re-imported the file. The result is a completely different looking image (shown in the top of this pic) that is brighter and more magenta.
Can anyone explain a) why this is happening and b) a workaround (perhaps to the text overlay on the DNxHD) or an alternative codec to ProRes that would better suit this transcode?
