Trainwreck: Little Review

I was really looking forward to this. Was alright but definitely thought it would be funnier and for me maybe the pacing was a little off, the movie would grind to a halt. Also, some jokes either fell flat or ran long. Movie was 20 or 30 min too long for me.

John Cena is a surprising good actor and ahem, has a memorable scene.

I generally agree but did highly enjoy the better parts. The story structure was pretty haphazard and it definitely needed chunks cut out and the pacing worked on, but there was enough endearing and humorous in it that I had a good time. I agree about Cena and props to him willing to put himself out there in the way he does. I also found LeBron to be hysterical in an amazingly understated way. He's got terrific comic timing. The scene with Marv Albert should totally have been cut.

Apatow has always had this problem and it's just getting worse. He needs to fire his editor. None of his comedies needed to be over ninety minutes.
