Trailers before Star Wars the force awakens

I saw some great trailers for upcoming g movies before the force awakens.

the new jk Rowling movie looks super fun and I love Harry Potter so definitely going to see that one. Star Trek trailer was good, thank god they are finished with the horrible time travel set up and the awful khan retread is over. Just hope there won't be to many motorcycle chases.
captain America looked good to. Continuation of the first movie so we see what happens with the winter soldier and who doesn't want to see more Scarlett johansen?
independence day 2 looked iffy. At first I was like oh cool! Independence day! But then I was like oh, they just have sci fi weapons to fight the aliens now and it just looks like endless explosions so I'll have to wait on reviews for that one.

Ah, but now there's a Search for Spock retread. So, they're going in order, blowin' things up real good like always.
 
I hated, hated, hated the Star Trek trailer but I think it was mostly the music and the vibe it gave off. Reading between the lines, it does look like a more proper Trek-type story, and Simon Pegg (who co-wrote it), wasn't a fan of the trailer either so, I'll reserve judgement. If a less generic action director was behind the camera I'd have more faith...I've pretty much seen every trailer by the time I get to a theater though so I don't really care about seeing them anymore. Gives me more time to buy popcorn.
 
Only 7 of 79 episodes had any space combat in them, and some of those only involved a single phaser shot doing little to no damage. If they can't think of anything else to do in the entire universe, then that's just sad.

The TV series coming along is run by the same people (whose TV shows consistently suck), so I don't have much confidence in that.
 
In the recent movies, the Enterprise gets torn up to the point of falling apart and it looks like the new movie is no exception. Whatever happened to shields?
