trailer thoughts

Great looking movie. Some ideas:
- Lose the flower shot at the begininng. Open with man carrying the woman in the desert - it is much more powerful.
- I would compress all the dialog scenes at the beginning. Do not hold on them so long, they are too lengthy for a trailer. In the murder flashback at the beginning, do not show the guy on his knees twice, lose the first one. Same thing with the woman looking down at the guy on his knees - pick one shot of her to use and do not cut away and back to her. Shorten the shot of the bodies on the ground and the fight scenes by a beat or two, they seem a bit long.
- Shorten the dolly shot in the courtroom.
- Lose the scream at the end. Seems like it belongs in a Hostel 2 trailer, not this one.
- Lose the video of the guy saying "It is time for me to get my life back." Keep the audio under another shot perhaps. The ots 2-shot as a visual is not as compelling as others.
- Also for some reason I do not like the 2-shot if the woman saying "Will it bring us peace?" It is a bit 'film school' cliche. It reminds me of Woody Allen making fun of Bergman in 'Love and Death.' Maybe you could the audio of her line as a tag line at the end?
- These are all minor tightening. It looks like a terrific flick. Cheers

you know when I clicked on this thread I was really hoping for a trailer coment like the one above....Goes to show im not the only smart-ass on the forum!
