I know how to track in AE, but my question is:

I'll be on a boat, which is on a trailer while driving on the highway... The camera will be on a tripod pointing downwards. My goal is to have text come from underneath the trailer, and the text will stick to the road and scale and fade away in the distance.

I'm planning on putting pink worm baits on the side of the road so I can track them while the words come onto the road.

Will the text scale properly if I track it using the pink worms? Will this work in AE?

The problem might be that the baits might not be trackable after they get into the distance. Especially if you use a wider lens. You might want to try synth-eyes or camera tracker because it will track a lot more of the image than 2 points. It will track things like trees, light poles and bushes.
