Track Motion in final cut?

Is there a track motion (like in vegas) in final cut HD? trying to move the whole track filled with .png files for an animation so our character enters the frame.

Thanks for all your help!
 
Most of us FCP users don't use or haven't thankfully used Vegas...

So I for one have no idea what you are asking.

Motion Tracking? Moving a Track?? Using the Motion tab???

Got me.

its like when you add motion key frames to a clip, you want it to go left to right, etc. Except it applies to the whole track.

Very good.

Ok... 'nest' the sequence

Create all your .png images in a sequence... then bring that sequence into the other sequence (I'm assuming you want to bring it over something else? If not then just SEQUENCE - NEST SEQUENCE)

This will give you one big video track of all your images. Then control click (right click) and send to VIEWER... there, click on the MOTION tab and adjust center at will.

If you turn on image+wireframe on your canvas window... one of the three buttons on the top of that window will give you a pulldown to do this... you can use your A tool arrow to move the clip/image around and then add your keyframes back in the viewer window.

yup create a second sequence, and then bring that sequence into your timeline and apply keyframes to it as if it is just one clip.
 
Oh, thank you so much! Worked perfectly, and I'm really impressed with that nesting feature. Actually prefer that to the track motion vegas has in many ways. Sequences in general are really useful.
