I’m trying to add a blur to a part of my screen since one of my tota lights are reflecting on a picture on a wall. Here is what I have on lines 1, 2 and 3. (Just to reiterate, line 1 would be at the bottom, line 3, the very top.
Video 1 - My original clip untouched.
Video 2 - a copy of my original clip. The clip has the Gaussian blur effect set to about 40. It also has the Track Matte Key. I have the Matte referencing “Video 3”.
Video 3 - On this top line, I have a title sequence. It has an elliptical shape on the spot where I want it blurred. I’ve colored the shape pure white.
Doing this I end up with nothing blurred. If I hit reverse on the Track Matte Key, I end up with everything blurred. I get the feeling that my problem is with my title sequence. I simply open it, put a shape where I want it, make sure it’s pure white and close it. Is there a “transparency” box I need to check or something?
I was following a tutorial on youtube. I think I followed everything to the T.
