There is an effect that I have seen used lately that I would like to determine how it was done and emulate.
The best way to describe it is it makes real video look like toys. It has been used in new Toyota commercials and most recently the begining of the New Sherlock Holmes series on PBS.
It is usually set up with the camera high above the ground looking down on a city block. It looks as if a wide angle lens is used but without distorrtion. It really compresses the imagry and gives it a 'Toy Like" effect.
Does anyone have a bead on this?
