I just found the whole thing to feel extremely generic and bland. Just about everything was more interesting in the original. Where were all of the cool villains like Richter and Benny? All we have here are hordes of replaceable soldiers / robots. Even the weird blond henchman who was stabbed in the gut in the original film was more interesting than most of what we saw in the remake.
The only villains with actual faces were Cohagen and Lori, and neither were very interesting. Also Lori's obsession with killing Quaid was completely unmotivated. In the original film, Richter's hatred of Quaid made sense.
