I started to watch the series when it came out, but airings were rather random at best... kind of like the show. Some episode were good, some not so good.
I think if anyone has watched both seasons they'd agree with me when I say, Season 2 nailed it. Compared to Season 1.
The Second Series had alot more better plots and storylines, aswell as the more intense action & drama. The climax was amazing and I think the entire series had a great story arc.
It's a shame when good show's, or at least promising ones. Air at completly random dates and times.
I recently started to watch 'Hornblower' and got through to the Second Season, when they stopped showing it. Now I just have to go out and purchase the DVD, or find some alternative method of watching it.
Figures...it was a show I tuned in to watch, which means it will be canceled. Same thing happened to Jericho.
Over here in Nong Khai, I was finally watching a movie I hadn't seen on one of the only English channels to show movies, and the screen went black with a message:
"Smartcard Failure"
The movie was pretty funny (Roll Bounce) and I hadn't even got the second "ha" of "haha" out when that happened.
Well, it isn't being cancelled. Just, the writer's wiping the show out basically with his destructive writing..
If anyone saw 'Journey's End' on the 'Doctor Who - Seaon 4 Finale' last weekend, then you'd know Torchwood was in that. Gwen was bloody fantastic I think in it, good on the actress.
I never really liked Torchwood at all. I keep hearing reviews about how good it is, but I really don't see it... half the stories are ripped from either Round The Twist or Eerie Indiana and the idea that Torchwood conveys what the BBC considers to be 'adult entertainment' in comparison to Doctor Who is kinda insulting when you consider how good and how broad a spectrum in terms of viewers Doctor Who appeals to... it could have been leagues better than it was.
