Every week, I will post a topic like this giving out reviews on movies I've seen. I've seen over 600 movies, and I can most likely review any.

I would like to spread good movies out there, so you don't need to spend your money on anything bad.

Top 5 tapes to rent of the week:

Jacobs Ladder 8/10= Amazing film, if you havn't seen it, you must. If you are a fan of thrillers this is a must for you to rent.

Story line "A traumatized Vietnam war veteran finds out that his post-war life isn't what he believes it to be when he's attacked by horned creatures in the subway and his dead son comes to visit him".

Changeling 7/10= this is a creepy ghost story, which I thought had a great story line. Many ghost stories took ideas from it, if you see it you will see what I mean. If you are a fan of horror/ghost stories, this is a great one to watch.

Story line "A man staying at a secluded historical mansion, finds his life being haunted by the presence of a spectre"

Unbreakable 8/10- This is a master piece to me, if your a avid comic book reader, this movie is for you, I gurantee you, that you will love this movie. Directed/written/produced by the creater of "The Sixth Sense".

Story line "A suspense thriller with supernatural overtones that revolves around a man who learns something extraordinary about himself after a devastating accident. "

Vertigo 8/10- Me being a Hitchcock fan, thriller maniac, I recommend any hitchcock. But, Vertigo is my favorite by far, if your a fan of the thrillers, this movie is for you.

Story line "Complex story about a San Francisco detective and his psychological troubles with fear of heights and obsession over a woman."

The Usual Suspects 9/10- If you liked "Seven" then your going to like this, I loved this movie. Kevin spacey is an amazing actor, great story, and great directing. If you like thrillers, this is also a must.

Story line "Five villains in New York are rounded up by police in an unconventional manner that worries them. After release, they get together for a spot of revenge, but someone else is controling events."

Well the only movie that i'd probably rent there is The Usual Suspects. Hated, no LOATHED Unbreakable.

I liked unbreakable and the usual suspects, but wouldn't say keven spacey is a great actor. With the right role, bruce willis can give an amazing performance. and jackson, well enough said.

i haven't seen any of the others.

unbreakable was shamalans or what eers best film. the rest are *makes fart noise with mouth*

I agree about Vertigo and Usual Suspects. Haven't seen Jacob's Ladder or Changeling, but hated Unbreakable. Can't stand Shyamalan's "something's about to happen... like right about now... yes... almost there.... riiiight n... *end credits* " manner.

The Changling is one of my all-time favorite horror movies, from a time when "horror" didn't automatically denote buckets of blood and bouncy co-eds running straight into the killer's arms (not that there's anything wrong with that either!). Creepiness was the basketball slowly bouncing down the stairs.

Lol, I love that scene.

If you havn't seen Jacobs ladder yet, go rent it, it's great! you won't be dissapointed.

I completely agree...

I own Jacob's Ladder. Loved Vertigo and have Usual Suspects on my list of movies to buy.

And though I own unbreakable, I did not care for it... at all. I tried to watch it a second time thinking I just missed something.. but no it sucked the second time even more than the first!

Are you kidding? Unbreakable is awesome! I prefer it to The Sixth Sense any day of the week.

The Usual Suspects is one of those rare movies where the ending is SO GOOD that the rest of the film is radically improved by it. Another example that I can think of is The Wicker Man starring Christopher Lee. It's one of my personal faves.

I usually like Samuel L. Jackson, and even Bruce Willis to some extent, but I dropped out of this movie about 30 minutes into it.

Usual Suspects is solid. Great script, great characters. Waiting to see if Bryan Singer can come through with another original script instead of comic book characters even if he didn't write it.
