Hello, here are the top 5 movies to rent this week.

The Sting- If you love con movies, this one is for you, the performances were great, and a great script, a true classic, you'll enjoy it.

"In 1930s Chicago, a young con man seeking revenge for his murdered partner teams up with a master of the big con to win a fortune from a criminal banker."

The Deer Hunter- This is my favorite war film, to me it's much better then "apocolpyse now". Excelent peformances by Walken and Deniro who are on my top 5 best actors, and just to mention John cazale for his great performance. If you like war movies, rent this!

"An in-depth examination of the way that the Vietnam war affects the lives of people in a small industrial town in the USA."

Memento- I like this movie for various reasons, original, the acting, and the atmostphere of the film. I thought this was one of the best movies of 2001, and I think you will too once you watch it, check it out.

"A man, suffering from short-term memory loss, uses notes and tattoos to hunt down his wife's killer."

Taxi Driver- I don't know what to say about this besides that it's one of the most original movies I've seen. Deniro gives an excellent performance like always, and it's just got this great story behind it, a true classic. Check it out.

"A mentally unstable Vietnam war veteran works as nighttime taxi driver in a city whose perceived decadence and sleaze feeds his urge to violently lash out

Dog Day Afternoon- This is another movie with pacinos great performance, my favorite actor pulls it off all the time. If your into the bank robbing stuff, youll like this, also another great performance by John Cazale.

"A man robs a bank to pay for his lover's operation; it turns into a hostage situation and a media circus."

Momento?? I remember hating that movie after I saw it. It was creative and definitely had a style that I hadnt seen before but it was confusing and didnt go anywhere.

Memento is superb. Perhaps you didn't get it? It confused most people though. A lot of people had to rewatch it.

It went somewhere alright...backwards! It put you in the mind set of the main character. It pulled you in to his world of amnesia and dragged you along for the ride. Anyway, I agree with the others, it's a great film.

The film didn't confuse me and I really liked they way the story was layed out. Also the bw shots were nice.

But I just thought the film was good, not great.

Dog Day Afternoon, now that is an awesome movie. Too bad Pacino can't or doesn't get roles that good anymore. I would love to see him at his best. It was disappointing to see him get an Oscar for such a stupid movie like Scent of a Woman.

I'm going to see the Deer Hunter tonight and will see Taxi Driver in the near future.

Pretty sure I've seen the sting, but just don't remember any of it. that's with newman and redford, right?

Yeah, Memento was a little confusing, for me atleast, I had to watch it twice.

Yes, Pacino is a great actor with a bad agent, I think he's gone wrong since "Carlitos way" which was a decent gangster flick, pacinos style. Advocate was decent.

Yeah, The Sting has Newman and Redford, great movie

My top five right now (Netflix & Blockbuster Online)

Strangers on a Train
Psycho
Angels with Dirty Faces
Easy Rider
The French Connection

It's certainly because we don't have the same titles in France, but I've never heard f those films... :/
