vol 2 was leaps and bounds over volume one, (i know, same movie... but still) i personally thought that the coffin scene was one of the most terrifying scenes EVER filmed (if not the most.) i loved the sceond volume... it doesnt hurt to see uma thurman in low cut jeans either.

I hate to sound like a jerk, but I think Kill Bill is way overrated (and I like Tarantino)  I get the impression that kind of movie is what happens when you don't listen to anybody, and nobody tells you "no".  Most of the people I know who rate it highly have seen very few films made before 1970 (let alone 1945) and tend to praise style over substance.  It was overlong, predictable and self-indulgent.  The "story" had enough of a plot to barely fill a 90 minute film.

I'm not saying I didn't like it, because I did.  It was a fun romp, which some entertaining sequences. I just don't think it deserves most of the accolades that it gets.

I don't usually give two shits about threads like this because everyone has different tastes in film. Therefore, I'll just say that my FAVORITE film of all time is John Carpenter's The Thing. The rest of my list would be full of horror movies as well (well maybe a comedy or two thrown in to switch things up).

Kill Bill Vol 1 is simply brilliant and I was blown away by every aspect of it.

I hate to say it because I love Tarantino but in my opinion I felt Vol 2 was a let down and lacking in stimulation and can enduce a coma.

Basically the build up and the encounters with the first two assasins in vol 1 far surpassed the final two in Vol 2.

The crazy 88's and Oren encounter set the bench mark and the final two assasins fizzeled in comparison.

Can't wait to see what Tarantino does next!
