Top 10 48 hour films

Nice job, man. I thought you did a pretty fantastic job for a 48 hour project. I've entered two 48 hour fests and man, they're pretty challenging - but so much fun!

The cuts throughout the short worked well to add the tension and suspense, without making the film seem like its target audience was a group of 13 year old girls... I swear, that's what horror is becoming. Fast edits - loud effects and some blood. The horror story needs to scare people, not the camera-work and editing. IMO. But you did a good job not falling in to that mess.

I believe the acting could have used some improvement, but for 48 hours - leaving little time to actually spend with the actors - 1 on 1 - it wasn't bad. The arm effect could have been REALLY neat if that damn make-up didn't misfire. But still, you disguised the shot really well with the camera and edits.

Sorry to boost my own post, but it got kicked off the page within 10 minutes of me posting...I'd appreciate more comments.
 
crazy with the zoom? what are you talking about? all my shots were static for 95% of the film...i guess i have no idea what you mean.
 
I liked the film a lot. Very impressive for a 48 hour contest. I especially liked the editing. The only thing that left me a little flat was the acting.

Congratulations on the top 10 finish.

Bravo, Justin... You guys really did a great job, and the fact that it was a 48 hour flick makes it even better... My only challenge as already stated is some of the acting. other than that, excellent work.
