Too much light on a scene! help

I took some scenes outdoors btu one of them came otu with too much light in the face of one of the actors.
I could appreciatte if some pointers on how to fix this problem in FCP.

so the actor is over exposed?? try adding a brightness filter, or captain mench (or how ever u spell it) has a plug in, to fix over exposed shots, im not sure where it is tho

Can you post a still- we can't see your footage from here. Once highlights are really blown in digital there's not much you can do to bring detail back.

You'll be amazed what the Capt's Fixer can do Noah.

Cool trick by the Capt. But in the tutorial even he admits that if a shot is blown out on all the channels there's nothing you can do to bring back the detail. If the detail is gone it's gone. With film you have some wiggle room - video is not so forgiving.
