Too many boards?

Anyone think there's too many forums - boards really do not seem that heavily replied - 3-4 replies over a weeks time on many occasions - anyone think the forums should be condensed more to create more volume per board?

There's almost 50 forums - YIKES! Outrageous. Rather have 10 strong boards than 40-50 ghost towns.
 
There's been several condensings of things. I believe Jarred did that awhile back. I keep up in several forums, and hop into others from time to time. I think it's all good.
 
I think its more to do with the classification of stuff. Alot of people post lighting and other related stuff in the camera hardware section, so that might draw traffic from the actual lighting board
 
this is the only board worth my time. At least i can learn something.... Even if it just "whats that Clunk?"

NO!. I think it is much easier to find what you want since there are so many sub-forums. If they were condensed the way you want, we would have to constantly search for stuff. Now if I want 3d, I just go to the 3d forum. If I want audio, they audio forum and so on. I think it works perfect the way it is.

Theres 41 of them (That you can see anyway). You can always condense some sections; I usually have Bootcamp and Red hidden (Booooooring - Show me the money).

Anyways; wait ..

How many posts do you have ?
 
Are you talking about DVXuser having 50 or 50 other forum sites? I found that all the other forums have fallen off alot and this place is the only one that has constant activity.

What?! Are you saying that there are hidden boards right here at DVXuser? Like wheres waldo... I could click on what I think is a dead pixel on my powerbook and BLAM! Welcome to "John Hudson's Swing & Serve"... wait a sec. that didnt sound right
 
Yea you know ive heard through the grape vine that theres a "secret" forum or some thing here. i mean how else can JArred have 80,000 posts and only show up as often as someone wit h5-6 thousand posts.

Yeah there is a secret forum that shows up at the bottom of all the other regular forums for me. Not much happening on it lately though.
