Too Bright nightclub

Okay so I do alot of NightClub shooting and I always come across people who think my Canon onboard camera light is bright. But their isnt a dimmer control. This is a pain in the arse because its hard to get shots of people when they get angry or blinded by my light. I also think it is intrusive and annoying to people. What do you guys recommend I do?

If you could put a chimera on it, you would have (~) the same amount of light, but much softer and pleasing- both in the camera and to the crowd.

Not sure what light you have, but something like this:

Or you could rig one, or just put diffusion jel over the front of the light...

I have a dryer sheet wrapped and taped around my little light.

Just cut some ND gel and clip it on, use two if needed.

As small as the ND gel needs to be, fold it up like 1" to make a little slip on box, and heat glue the sides using a soldering iron (punching holes through the sides and melting a nice blob of plastic).

You can make another one like 1-3mm bigger to fit over and around the first one (stackable).

Not that your asking, but the Frezzi Mini (with dimming) is sure nice. $300 at B&H. But they are way cool. or $1 worth of ND will do to. Maybe some CTO also.
