Too big for DVD

I have 4.7GB of DVDs. and whats the maximum of the timeline my video can take? How will i spilt the video from the rendering part if possbile? my video is over about almost 3 hours.

The render settings are :

Audio: None
Video: 25 fps, 720x576
Use this setting to create a PAL video-only MPEG-2 file compatible with DVD Architect.

Am going to do a Menu in DVD Architect as well.

I am going to put a slow motion of waves as the background of the menu who do i do a slow motion in Vegas?

Regards
Danny

3 hours wont fit on a DVD unless you compress the heck out of it. I'd split it in two. and play with the compression data rate until you get something that will fit on your DVD.

Dont know about the waves and slowmo in Vegas so I cant help you there. Sorry.

I would HIGHLY suggest rendering it out to an AVI file vs. MPEG2, then let DVD Architect compress it to fit with the 'fit to disc' option. It's an incredibl feature, and will compress all your data (anything that needs it, in this case non MPEG or ac3 files) to fit it to the disc.

I believe, that 3 hours of video will compress to fit on the 2 hour disc with not much, if any, visual degredation. Try it, I think you'll be surprised how easy it is, as well as fairly impressed with the quality.
