Yeah but in bowling men actually can throw the ball much harder and have a slight physical advantage. In curling physical strength gives you almost no edge. Not saying their isn't considerable skill, control and strategy involved, but any person short of a cripple could do that sport. There was a PREGNANT woman curling in the Olympics for crisssakes!

Yes, men can sweep much harder and faster, therefore causing more 'curl' if they wish. It is called curling after all, not hurling.
While the difference between men and women in the sport of curling may not be as apparent as say.... hockey. It is still very much an advantage for the men in comparison.

Yeah... I knew that, but didn't want to come off as the all-knowing American of Canadian things...LOL!
My Dad curled for years...I've spent many a day at the curling club.
It's actually a pretty cool game. (did I say that out loud?)
