tone setting between SD 702T and 302

Dear All,
I am finidng the tone setting between 302 to 702. I am using 302 to generate the tone, which is factory default setting, to 702, and I am not sure what level I should set for 702? -20 or -12? I feel -12 seems to hot, but I use -12 with HVX200 though. I am a little confused now and need your advices.

0 dbu on mixer = -20 dbfs on recorder
