I was wondering if anyone uses the Tokin lenses on their adapters?

you mean Tokina ?,
I use a 28-70 f2.8 and the 11-16mm f2.8 (its DX but it works at 16mm)

but the lack of an aperture ring is a minus factor when using this with a 35 adapter

I have a Tokina 80-200 f2.8
and a 28-70 f2.6-2.8
They are not quite as sharp as the nikon's but as far as I can see the next best thing and much cheaper. Do your research on the web to make sure you get the best versions of those lenses. I forget what letters to look for.

the 11-16 can be held wide open by Foam, as for letters the, at 28-70 f2.8 ATX Pro is the one to get, bulit like a tank, but the min focus distance is the only down side
