It's a warm and beautiful day in Paris, not a cloud in sight and people in the streets are smiling... This evening, I'll go meet a friend and sell my faithful GL-2 to him for a reasonable price... ;D but more importantly... in one hour I'll be on my way to pick up [glow=red,2,300]my very own DVX100A !![/glow] He he... 8)

Not sure this is a very useful post but I'm so happy I just wanted to let you know... :D

First impressions (haven't powered it up yet) :

1. The beast is AWESOME !

2. The body of the AT897 mic is just a tad too thin for the mic holder. Some extra padding will be required.

Batteries are charging... ;D ;D

.. i have to wonder why you would be attaching your nice mic to the camera. however i do understand that sometime you dont have anyone to hold some sort of boom for you, and its the only way to go besides lavs. but when you dohave a sound man, try to buy a cheap painters pole, and a clamp with 1/4 accessory thread from a camera store, and make a boom to use. it will make a huge difference in your sound :)

Ahh, this brings me back to the feeling I had several months ago when I first took home my baby...:P

Can't wait to see what you do with it!
