hey everyone,
I'm shooting a S16 teaser this summer in attempt to try and raise full funding for the feature. I was thinking about offlining on DVCAM, then onlining with digibeta. If I were to go that route it would cost me around $400-600(assuming I would spend little time on color correction). The other option would be to put off an online to digibeta quality and just edit the teaser at DVCAM quality, which is a lot cheaper.
My question though, is how much of a difference will there be at the end of the day? I know the digibeta route will be uncompressed and have better color reproduction, but I do not have too much money to spend on the online, but at the same time want the best quality possible for potential investors to view.
This teaser will be compressed for DVD and will be shown to possible investors with a business proposal ect... Should I just stay with DVCAM or break the bank taking it to online with digibeta quality? Thanks in advance.
