to mr vidled

so i just got my vidled , quicker than expected especially as i opted for the black (vanity) paint job, it's very cool, compact, strong and easily adjustable, one thing i wasnt so pleased with was the battery adaptor, i was kinda under the impression that it attached to the back of the camera, and drew from the same battery as the camera not clumsily on top of the light itself, also i was miffed to have paid close to 350 bucks and not be provided with a couple of bolts so i could use it instantly, was i supposed to get some bolts, was it a packing mistake ?

Glad you like your VIDLED light!
Although I am not 100% sure why this is being discussed publicly, here goes :

The adapter is undergoing a transition from being a simple ADAPTER PLATE with a coiled cable to a unit that can be attached to the VIDLED using two bolts (or attached to anything else for that matter). This transition is soon going to be complete. The first changes we made was to include the two threads. Next is to offer it with two bolts as well. At that time we will have to charge more. We still have to wait for this to be offered as a system though, as this all requires a small change to the VIDLED light in order to make it 100% compatible.

Vidled from what I hear your lights are great, but if I was peronally told not to discuss something in a forum or TOLD HOW to by a product seller I would take offence. Thats just me though. On and up.

In a couple of weeks, I'd say. At that time we'll update the website to reflect the new adapter kit (with bolts).

I think vidled's "please" made it a polite request. Surely it's fairer to be allowed to address a complaint privately before it's aired publically? :beer:
