To grain or not to..... grain.

I have been playing with the grain effect in AE 6.5 which looks better than the one in Vegas (to me, at least). I still feel like it has too much animation and may seem too fake if you have a discerning eye. I know that different film cameras and stocks of film produce a variety of looks when it comes to grain. Some have more blotchy and others more fine.

I'm just wondering if anyone here has played with these enough and maybe gotten a pretty realistic result with the grain effect in AE. Any specific settings?
