It leverages social networking and the blogosphere. It can even allow for affiliate promotion, where if someone posts it on their website/blog, then they can take a cut of the sale. (a percentage of a pie sold is better than a whole pie not sold). My suggestion if you went this route would just to make the most killer trailer ever. Then release.
