*I'm not sure whether the term ''credited'' is right, but I refer to a full first and last name signature after/before/during some feature*
Basically, everyone or almost everyone wants to be credited when they do a nice looking feature. Whatever it is, if there's some space to make credits (unlike commercials etc), people, generaly-like it and they're somehow obligated to do so.
But what if you end up doing something you don't like? Something you think it's way underneath of your capabilities, creativity and so on? Do you have the right to claim to be un-credited? Is it ethical? Or what it's most important, can someone credit you even if you strictly tell them not to?
I am editor on some tv-show-biz, and since recently, I need to be credited.
I don't want to. I asked producer not to credit me, or at least to get me some synonyme, but it is not possible.
I don't think it's a B-A-D thing to have my name under something I really don't find in a range of work capabilities, but still, I should get at least that option-to choose whether to be credited or not.
From film to TV, over artistic projects to weddings-how big is your choice and do you think it's ok to ''force'' someone's name on to something? I know it depends from situation to situation and from project to project but still...
What are your experiences?
